Hello, I’m Aaron Alva.
I am a working food photographer, culinary cinematographer, and visual storyteller with over a combined decade of experience in and around the restaurant and hospitality industry. Having worked with michelin star chefs and competition winning bartenders I have developed an keen eye and interest in highlighting the process and detail that goes into every great dish and cocktail. My documentary style has been honed on three ideas: be definitive, be effective, and be gorgeous. I work closely alongside chefs, bartenders, and owners to create movies that do more than feature on social media, but thrive long term defining expectations for curious visitors and strengthening connections with returning regulars. Through photo and video I aim to communicate to patrons and new communities the beautiful detail of combined creativity, knowledge, effort, and quality that go into every outstanding culinary experience.
